Small Business resources
Beyond our office and manufacturing space, Janesville Innovation Center (JIC) serves to be a go-to source for entrepreneurship and business resources. Our mission is to connect innovative and forward-thinking individuals, entrepreneurs, and aspiring business owners, providing them with the startup resources and mentorship they need to accelerate growth and drive success.
Our Suite of Business Resources
Entrepreneur Hub
The Entrepreneur Hub connects our current tenants and website visitors with a wide range of valuable resources, such as networking opportunities, workshops, and events. Entrepreneurs can access interactive sessions, professional insights, infographics, advice, and more.
Mentorship
Partners
We are supported by a strong network of partners, including the U.S. Department of Commerce (Economic Development Administration), City of Janesville, Janesville Foundation, Alliant Energy, the Janesville Art League, and the George Parker Foundation. These collaborations help us provide the necessary resources, facilities, and programs to support local businesses.
Access to Funding & Loans
JIC can connect entrepreneurs with a variety of funding opportunities, including grants, loans, and investor networks. We offer the JIC Tenant Loan Fund, which provides support for startups and early-stage JIC tenant companies in accessing working capital for projects and investments that accelerate revenue growth, profitability, and/or the ability to secure additional growth capital.
Business Readiness Program
From Idea to First Dollar Small Business Incubator. An 8-week incubator that helps entrepreneurs turn a concept into a legally formed business with a clear offer, first customers, and a simple growth plan.
